Writing Stations- Narrative Writing

 In Writing this Module we worked on Narrative Writing.   This week, we went to four different writing centers to get our imaginations going with different writing exercises.   We then used one of these free writes as a base for the writing prompt:  "Write about a character who goes on a journey to discover something".  Students had to use the elements of narrative writing to develop their character, setting, and events of plot with a problem and leading to a resolution.   We also discussed how the genre of the story affects how the story is told.   Maybe it is the time of year, but they are very into horror and mystery!!
